Kröpcke-Center Hannover: Order for Engineering Office Dr. Matuszek GmbH & Co. KG

Construction volume: 80 Million Euro

Düsseldorf: 02/08/2011. In the heart of Hanover, on the famous Kröpcke, a massive renovation and remodeling project comes into being. The Kröpcke shopping center, built in 1975, will be upgraded. Since 2010, Sport StadiaNet's Engineering Office Dr. Matuszek is not only responsible for the review of the cost calculations but also for the continued overall cost control of this major project.

Project Manager Dipl.-Ing. Jens Witter, "We expect to be engaged in the construction project by March 2013. The total investment amounts to approximately Euro 213.4 million. We are experts in the field of cost controlling. It is important to have a good cooperation with all construction companies involved ".

The remodeling of the Kröpcke-Center is planned by the architects Kleihues & Kleihues from Berlin. On the first three floors retail space will be created. The 4th floor is used for office space; the 5th floor hosts social rooms and technology. The retail space will be expanded to 18,335 square meters and the office space to approximately 3,500 square meters. The operator, Centrum Property GmbH loaded in Düsseldorf manages the building for the co-owner, Mars PropCo. 3 S.à.r.l. from Luxembourg.

The plan is a complete gutting of the Kröpcke-Center. The facade will be completely revised and adapted to contemporary requirements. Within the framework of the extension, a part of the pedestrian zone will be closed. The "Kröpcke" is a central point in the City of Hanover. Here ends the underground pedestrian zone, starting from the central station, a central hub of the metro.
